Just plain push buttons
I think the guys balance us out.
It’s really a thought.
Why aren’t all guys gay yet?
So soft in a plastic world
I had a really frustrating talk with my brother last night.
He was upset because he feels like there is nothing he can do to change the way girls look at him and think of him.
My brother is one of the most genuine, funny, artistic, smart people i have ever met.
People can’t seem to look past his exterior.
He used to be quite heavy, and has lost over 150 lbs.
This is a guy who worked his way through college, and went to film school to do something he loves.
He lost the weight, and is still judged for things that don’t even matter.
I just want to smack people upside their heads and give them a piece of reality.
I am so tired of people caring more about what’s going on outside before even PEEKING on what else there is to that person.
If someone were to take a real look at my brother, they would realize they won’t find anything better.
We have become this plastic society and these people that we can’t control. We put too much effort into thinking about what people look like and how being next to them will make our social stature somehow better. What happened to the society we left behind with the hippies? A loving community.
Now we’re all cold and hard.
We can’t look past the surface.
I can’t help but get frustrated.
